About Erika

Erika Guerrero is an accomplished entrepreneur and leader in the battery industry, founding Electric Goddess to provide specialized consulting services and operate a dedicated test facility for battery innovations across automotive, micromobility, energy storage systems (ESS), aerospace, and space applications. She began her career with an internship at SpaceX, where she played a key role in integrating the $4B Dragon 1 Cargo NASA contract requirements into the supply chain.

She manages strategy and partnerships for Electric Goddess with a focus on cultivating sustainable technology for the circularity of the battery industry and paradigm innovation through technology development.

Experience

Founder - Electric Goddess (Present)

At Electric Goddess, Erika has built state-of-the-art testing capabilities, including custom fixtures for batteries designed for space. The facility’s vacuum test chambers are equipped for testing components under extreme conditions, including tests to failure, such as overcharge in vacuum environments. Some chambers operate in ultra-high vacuum conditions, clean enough to run mass spectrometers that precisely measure electrolyte leak rates in low-pressure environments.

Electric Goddess’ space clients include communication satellites, TUG batteries, and human space habitats. Clients span across many industries, choosing Electric Goddess for exceptional battery specialty and testing capabilities across many different areas of the value chain.

Co-Founder and CEO - Redivivus Inc. (Present)

In response to the battery waste and end of life challenge faced by many Electric Goddess clients from previous battery designs, Erika searched the industry to find solutions. It became apparent that it was the beginning of a large industry with much room for development and innovation. She regularly speaks with investors, partners, and manages company sales and strategy for the emerging startup.

Erika’s experience with mobile energy storage systems spans containerized energy solutions, mobile truck energy storage, and custom trailer builds equipped with battery shredders for emergency response.

NPI Program Manager - Romeo Power and BorgWarner

Erika helped a California-based li-ion startup to operationalize a battery manufacturing environment and manage cross-functional teams including joint venture operations with BorgWarner. Erika co-developed UL testing and industry standards through design of experiments while achieving ISO9001 certification. Co-inventions include cell test experiments, cylindrical battery module designs, and cost effective prototype to production projects in response to Tier 1 RFQs. Her methods are utilized today in the electrification effort of the automotive industry.

Supply Chain Management - SpaceX (Dragon Capsule)

Erika guaranteed compliance to the NASA contract by co-creating a process to implement supplier diversity requirements into Warp Drive (ERP) for the Dragon capsule.
