Electric Goddess is a battery technology consultancy supporting engineers, founders, and energy leaders building advanced battery systems for mobility, energy storage, and space. Our work spans battery design reviews, validation strategy, safety and risk mitigation, forensic analysis, and operational support across the battery lifecycle.

Our El Segundo facility supports hands-on technical work and close collaboration with industry experts.

Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Operations Assistant to support our engineering and business operations. This on-site, part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, research, and hands-on operational support in a technical, lab-adjacent environment.

You will work closely with leadership to keep workflows, logistics, and the workspace running smoothly—enabling engineers to focus on high-impact technical work. For the right person, this role offers meaningful exposure to battery technology, entrepreneurship, and real-world R&D operations.

Job responsibilities

Operations & Administrative Support

  • Compile lists, conduct research, and organize information and tasks
  • Perform online research and manage internal databases
  • Data entry, documentation, and maintenance of internal trackers
  • Scheduling support and calendar coordination
  • Invoicing support and basic order tracking
  • Light project coordination and follow-ups
  • Manage administrative tasks to keep the team operating efficiently
  • Communicate promptly via Slack and email
  • Provide general operational support as needed

Lab & Workspace Support

  • Maintain an organized workspace
  • Manage break room supplies, including ordering and restocking
  • Support purchasing and inventory tracking
  • Operate basic equipment such as scales for inventory and materials tracking
  • Assist with minimal shipping and receiving

Logistics & Coordination

  • Track orders, deliveries, and supplies
  • Support procurement and vendor coordination
  • Ensure materials and equipment are logged, tracked, and accounted for accurately

Required knowledge and experience

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Reliable, proactive, and comfortable working independently
  • Comfortable operating in a technical or lab-adjacent environment
  • Able to follow processes precisely and suggest improvements when appropriate
  • Strong written communication skills
  • A good sense of humor and resilience in a fast-moving setting
  • Comfortable using tools such as Google Workspace, spreadsheets, Slack, and email
  • Located near El Segundo
